OPERATION TAX PREP
TAX PREPARATION SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES
We have partnered with the Washington State Department of Revenue to offer free* tax preparation and filing services for individuals and families. (*Free for simple returns, low-cost flat-fee for returns requiring a Schedule A.)
Volunteers will also help tax payers determine if they qualify for the Washington State Working Families Tax Credit, or you can visit their site for more information by going to:

Tax preparation services are available through our Tax Prep Partner - Marti Ross Accounting LLC.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE WFTC?
Individuals and families are eligible for the WFTC if they meet all of the following requirements:
- Have a valid social security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
- Lived in Washington a minimum of 183 days in 2024
- Are at least 25 and under 65 years of age OR have a qualifying child in 2024
- Filed a 2023 federal tax return
- Eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) on their 2023 tax return
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
For Tax Preparation Services, you will need the following:
- Current physical and mailing address info
- Social Security cards for all family members claimed on return
- Current WA State Driver's License or ID
- Tax documents, such as: W-2's, 1099's, 1098's, dependent care payment info or receipts, charitable contribution receipts, medical expense payment receipts
- Banking info for Direct Deposit of any refunds
- JOINT FILIERS: Both filers need to be present to efile
WHERE TO GO FOR TAX PREP SERVICES
We will be having tax filing events at several places around the
Tri-County area of Northeast Washington during the tax season, and can assist with WFTC filings any time during 2024 & 2025, if filing has not been completed earlier in the year.
