Affordable, In-Person Help for the 2026 Tax Season
At RISE Network, we believe everyone deserves access to fair, affordable tax preparation, especially seniors, working families, and individuals with straightforward returns.
For the past couple of years, RISE Network was able to offer free tax preparation services, thanks to grant funding through the State of Washington. Unfortunately,Washington State did not renew that grant funding for future years.
Our Commitment to the Community
While we are no longer able to offer tax preparation services at no cost, our mission remains the same: to provide ethical, accessible, and affordable support to our neighbors, without unnecessary fees or pressure. We are committed to continuing this vital service at a low, transparent fee that remains accessible to our community.

WHAT'S CHANGING FOR 2026
Beginning with the 2026 tax season, RISE Network will continue to provide in-person tax preparation services at select locations, but with a modest fee to help cover operating costs.
While we are no longer partnering with the State of Washington to provide free tax preparation services, we will continue to help eligible taxpayers determine whether they qualify for the Washington Working Families Tax Credit (WFTC) and assist with filing if they are eligible.
Our goal is to provide honest, affordable help, especially for seniors and families who often pay hundreds of dollars elsewhere for very simple returns.
AFFORDABLE PRICING
To keep costs as low as possible, we are offering simple, flat-fee pricing:
$30 Tax Preparation
- Single filers with one W-2
- Joint filers with one W-2 per spouse
- Seniors with:
- A Social Security statement, and
- One 1099-R for a retirement pension
$50 Tax Preparation
- All other returns, including:
- Earned Income Credit (EIC) filings
- Multiple income sources
Returns requiring additional review or complexity may be accepted at the discretion of the tax preparer. Fees for these returns will be determined based on complexity and time required and will remain well below prevailing market rates.
Payment is due at the time of filing.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
For Tax Preparation Services, you will need the following:
- Current physical and mailing address info
- Social Security cards for all family members claimed on return
- Current WA State Driver's License or ID
- Tax documents, such as: W-2's, 1099's, 1098's, dependent care payment info or receipts, charitable contribution receipts, medical expense payment receipts
- Banking info for Direct Deposit of any refunds
- JOINT FILIERS: Both filers need to be present to efile
